Monrovia Greek’s Pizzeria

Hey Monrovia! Jacob Szumski (right) and Gavin Devish (left) here! We are the owners of the new Greek’s here in town, and we wanted to introduce ourselves, and tell y’all a little bit about Greek’s!

First of all, I know it can be disappointing to see a franchise move into a small town that loves LOCAL. Although Greek’s is a franchise, we’re a small franchise (Indiana only), and we aren’t controlled by a massive corporate power. The 2 of us will be all of the corporate you get hahaha, and we are far from that! Although Gavin and I aren’t from Monrovia, we both grew up no farther than 30 min away, and plan to be as locally involved as possible!

Here’s a quick intro of who we are and what we do:

Jacob-
I just turned 22 (Aug 4), and have been doing nothing but Greek’s over the past 6 years! Starting out as a delivery driver at the Plainfield location going into my senior year of high school, I fell in love with Greek’s. I got an opportunity to buy my first location when I was 17 years old (with a partner), and the rest is history! I’ve owned a variety of Greek’s across Indiana, specializing in improving stores that need some love! I currently own the Avon and Columbus store, and I’m eager to get this Monrovia location open!

Gavin-
I’m 23 years old and I’m 2 years into the pizza business! Jacob and I‘s families have been super close for our entire lives, we grew up together and always stayed in touch. About 2 years ago, I saw what Jacob was doing with Greek’s and I reached out to tell him that I’m interested in getting involved. 3 months later I opened up my very first shop in Beech Grove, and have been learning the ins and outs of the business ever since! I’m very blessed to say that my Beech Grove store is thriving, and I hope to say the same about Monrovia once we get open!

To our amazing Monrovia community,

After 25 incredible years, the time has come to close the doors at Dawg House Pizza. This wasn’t an easy decision, but looking back at two and a half decades of Friday nights and Bulldog pizzas, we are filled with nothing but gratitude.
Our final day of operation will be May 30, 2026. We’d love to see you one last time before then!
While we’re saying goodbye, Monrovia won’t be without pizza for long. As one door closes, another opens—stay tuned for an exciting announcement about the new occupant in the coming weeks.
