We are the calm in the chaos and help to keep the city and our officers safe. Dispatchers are often overlooked as first responders, but we are the first, first responder. Our dispatch team had a rough end to 2025 when we lost one of our team, Danny Rose, and we miss him every day. I miss working with him on Friday nights and walking across to the Scoop to get us treats. Monroe has some pretty phenomenal officers as well.

It was a tradition for my grandma and I to get ice cream on the last day of school growing up so this one brought back some memories💖

This is what she had to say:

He comes from a long line of FF/Medics. After high school he jumped right into the EMS world. He quickly worked his way up to a level 2 FF/Paramedic. At 21 he then went to the police academy. He is now a Detective at Greene County Sheriff Office full time BUT still works part time at our local fire department as a FF/Medic. He has dedicated his adult life to serving the public. I truly could not be more proud of him! The world is a better and safer place with him on the road. 💙❤️🚒🚔🚑
