Yesterday, I spent the day at East Harbor State Park with Delinda, Yogi, Phoebe, and Stanley.
We wandered the trails, walked the beach, watched the dogs explore, and for the first time in a long time, I felt like myself again.
When I lived in California, being near the ocean was part of my everyday life. Somewhere along the way, I stopped making time for the things that made me feel most alive.
Yesterday reminded me that wellness isn’t just what we eat or how often we exercise. Sometimes it’s sunshine, fresh air, good conversation, sandy paws, and the sound of water.
It was one of those days that really puts things in perspective.
A reminder that some of the things we need most can’t be bought, scheduled, or checked off a to-do list.
I left feeling happier than I have in a long time.
This definitely won’t be my last trip to East Harbor.
Here’s to more time with friends, more adventures with the fur babies, and more of the things that make life feel good.
