Where did Tomatoes originate from? Tomatoes were first cultivated in 700 AD by the Aztecs and Incas. Explorers returning from Mexico introduced the tomato into Europe, where it was first mentioned in 1556. This being said, at Casa Real we put pride in everything we do and our chips and salsa are no exception. we hand cut out chips and make our salsa with fresh tomatoes not canned tomatos. Trust us hand cut chips and fresh tomatoes make a BIG difference.

We know what you are thinking, a Caesar salad in a Authentic Mexican restaurant. That’s right: one of the US’s most famous dishes was invented in Mexico.The Caesar salad originated in Tijuana, Mexico. Chef Caesar Cardini, a restaurateur, was throwing a Fourth of July party. He ran out of food and simply threw the ingredients he had lying around the kitchen together to make a one-of-a-kind salad. At casa real we make our own Caesar dressing usieing Cardini's recipe except for the Sardines. Come try it today!
