Restaurant Cotton's story is woven into the history of downtown Monroe. Housed inside the historic J.S. Bloch building, which was constructed in 1854, our space has lived many lives over the past 170+ years. During Prohibition, it operated as a mail-order liquor store with a bar for over-the-counter sales. Today, that very same bartop is where guests gather to enjoy great food, craft cocktails, and good company. Over the decades, the building has also served as a general store, cafeteria, bookstore, and bustling cotton exchange, inspiring the name Restaurant Cotton that we're proud to carry today.
