To everyone that has supported, loved, helped, and enjoyed SGT. Brooks BBQ I want to personally thank you from the bottom of my soul. It would not have been possible without each and everyone of you.
That is why it hurts and is very painful to say with such disparity that SGT Brooks will be permanently closed due to the death of the one and only Sgt Johnny Brooks, a couple of months ago. 😔 SGT Brooks was/is my uncle, but more importantly he was my friend, mentor and another father to me. An incredible man, that didn’t know how to say no or quit. A true man that loved his friends and family dearly and always placed himself second to everyone else. I wish there were more men like him and a true hero to his country, family, friends, and everyone who he thought he could help. Thank you so much again for everyone’s support! I’m so thankful that he took that bold step 6 plus years ago to start a BBQ business, bc everytime I smell, taste or see BBQ from hear on out, it will be a humbling memory of such a great man! Love you Uncle Johnny and I will see you again one day, in heaven, cooking BBQ for the good Lord.

Hey everyone, I really appreciate everyone liking my Uncles and families BBQ page!! Please share with all your friends as well, that would be such a blessing!! I will be putting this in the page description as well, but we are located inside the Hodge Podge Antique mall, about a quarter mile outside of Monroe on hwy11. We are on the right side, rear corner of the store, and yes there is seating as well. So come see us and enjoy some good southern BBQ with that laid back home feeling as well.
