The Brighter Side has been a part of downtown Modesto for over 35 years. Many still do not know the Brighter Side exists as its exterior is sometimes deceiving. Located across the street from Wells Fargo bank, the "shop" is a converted gas station. Inside you can still see a faded photo of what it used to be so long ago. Many enjoy visiting the Brighter Side as a friendly reminder of community and

culture. Filled with plants, antiques, and quirky personalities, it is an enjoyable place to spend an afternoon chatting on the quaint patio, or sitting near the wood burning stove in the winter. Brighter Side boasts quality ingredients and attention to detail serving sandwiches, monstrous salads, fresh chopped fruit bowls, and hearty soup.
