As a child I never knew how deep the scene on the Bebe’s Kids movie 🎥 with Abraham Lincoln got… but I quickly understood as my grandma 👵 & momma made sure to teach me how hard my great grandma 👵 & grandma fought along with so many of our ancestors to get us to where I can own my own shop as a young Black woman.

So let’s celebrate 🎉 Juneteenth with love in our hearts for those that are no longer with us to celebrate the good times of being free from slavery! ⛓️‍💥👩🏽

There are many that don’t know, but Juneteenth is a time to:

* Celebrate freedom and liberation
* Honor the struggles and sacrifices of enslaved people and their descendants
* Reflect on the ongoing pursuit of equality and justice
* Gather with family, friends, and community
* Support Black-owned businesses and cultural events
* Educate future generations about American history
