Next up is Ella R! She is a Shift Lead here at UPC as well as the Social Media Manager (Hi! 😉👋). She also illustrates the chalkboards for the shop.

Ella likes to spend her free time doing anything creative— like ceramics, jewelry making, drawing, painting, and more — as well as exploring KC and spending time outside.

Her favorite musical artist will forever be Hozier, but has recently been loving Air and Thievery Corporation.

Ella’s green flag in a customer is when they take the time to chat and build connections.🪴

Her coffee drink of choice is (and you’ll never guess it…) an iced americano! But when she’s feeling fancy, she’ll make a ‘Swan Lake Latte’ aka an iced latte with lavender and hazelnut.

Say hi to one of our Shift Leads, Nate! 🛹

Nate has been with UPC consistently for about 6 YEARS, which makes him our senior employee! Known as the resident “prankster”, he also knows the café in and out and attributes a major contribution to the flow of the space.

Nate likes to spend his free time reading, playing video games, and being outside. His favorite song is A Horse With No Name by America.

His green flag in a customer is if you order smoothly, with every detail right off the bat.

Lastly, his coffee drink of choice is (also) a classic iced americano!

Quick PSA: Our espresso machine is getting maintenance done at 3:00 PM today, so we will be unable to serve any espresso drinks during that time.
But don’t worry! Cold brew, drip coffee, teas, and lemonades are still available to cool you down on a hot day like today.

Ahhh the ole reliable breakfast 👏 You might have seen a few yogurt parfaits popping up in the shop recently, so heres the official announcement! Vanilla yogurt, mixed berries, and granola are now available. The perfect way to begin your day. 🍓☕️

P.S. The granola is gluten-free, however not technically certified. We are working on making a switch to a certified gluten-free, locally made granola. Stay tuned!
