Meet Scott Rivette, Our Community Ambassador at our Kirkwood Highway, DE location!

Originally from Connecticut, Scott earned his degree in Communications from the University of Hartford before spending nearly 25 years in Northern Virginia. Coming from a family with a proud history of military service spanning WWI, WWII, and the Vietnam War, Scott felt a personal connection to Our Mission and knew he wanted to make a difference in the lives of Our Heroes. Scott joined MISSION BBQ as the Community Ambassador for Our Kirkwood Highway, DE Restaurant, building relationships with local Veterans, Military Members, and First Responders before the location even opened! Along with his Community Ambassador Role, he enjoys Serving Our Customers as a Dining Room Leader and supporting Our Team wherever needed.

His favorite part of being a Community Ambassador is the meaningful connections he builds with Our Heroes. Whether it's a hug, a handshake, or a heartfelt thank-you, Scott finds purpose in making sure Those Who Serve know they are appreciated and Never Forgotten. His favorite in-store event is Armed Forces Week, when we come together to celebrate Our Military Heroes. Scott, thank you for your dedication to Our Heroes and Our Community. You are one of our Shining S.T.A.R.S., and we're so proud to have you on Our Team!

The five Jurnett brothers were inspired to join the military after seeing a movie about the five Sullivan brothers who all served and died during World War II. Tommy Jurnett is the oldest and was the first to join the military. “I’m the oldest, I started that tradition. My brothers all followed in my footsteps,” Tommy recalled. All five Jurnett brothers served during Desert Storm and all five returned home. “I was glad to put my life on the line, along with my brothers, to defend this country so it would stay the United States of America.”

Meet Kayla Cramer, Our Teammate Ambassador in Clermont, FL. Kayla first learned about MISSION BBQ when her best friend, Jenny, had us cater her wedding. She joined Our Team shortly thereafter, excited to SERVE Our Hometown Heroes and Veterans. She became Our Teammate Ambassador after Clermont opened, and has really enjoyed taking care of Our Teammates, which has evolved as her WHY! Kayla loves creating fun memories, celebrating Our Teammates, and making them feel special. We are so proud to have Kayla on Our Teammate Ambassador Team. She is one of the Shining S.T.A.R.S. of MISSION BBQ!
