We are still assessing the area following the storm, but we do know that the Seascape area is currently without power. Acme Oyster House will remain closed until power is restored and we are able to safely assess the restaurant and surrounding area.

A huge thank you to the linemen and first responders working tirelessly to help our community get back on our feet.

We will continue to share updates as we know more. Until then, please stay safe and take care of one another. ❤️

For many seasons, Mike and his team made Acme Oyster House in Baton Rouge their game-day home, broadcasting the Tiger Tailgating Show live from our restaurant. We were proud to have him here, grateful for his friendship and always glad to hear his unmistakable voice filling the room on LSU Saturdays.

Please join us this Sunday as we pause for a moment of silence in honor of the other “Mike the Tiger,” who would’ve turned 66 today. We’ll miss you, Mike.

Have you seen this sign and thought, "Wait... what?"
Back in 1980, when Acme was navigating tough years, one waitress handled the entire restaurant in a self-serve format. That's when the famous "Waitress Available Sometimes" sign was born.
The funniest part? Even when the waitress was there, whether you got service often depended on Vi's mood 🤣
Decades later, it's still one of our favorite pieces of Acme history. Iconic behavior, honestly 💁‍♀️
