While we aren't throwing a big party like last year, we'd like to take a minute and thank the people that make this possible.
It's YOU!!! Sure, our staff is great, our food is delicious and the atmosphere is unbeatable, but without all of you, this wouldn't be possible. Whether you see us everyday or just on special occasions, you keep us going. Thanks for visiting and telling all your friends how awesome we are!
And, if you and your 76 trombone playing friends want to stop by and serenade us later, I think that would be great!!

WEEKEND SPECIAL!!
This Saturday is the anniversary of the Italian Resistance, the end of N**i occupation and Fascist rule. This is another reason to celebrate our immigrant communities. Italians, including the ones in my own family have been important and cherished members of our communities all over the country.
Come in this weekend and enjoy a Breakfast pizza. Tomatoes, Basil, Panceta, Mozzarella and Arugula- and of course a fried egg, because everything becomes breakfast with an egg.

The Saturday afternoon forecast says chilly and cloudy. So, come in to Al's for food and fun!

Saturday is the day!! Join us at Al's with our friend and MN Viking Max Brosmer, for a wonderful fundraising event. We'll be raising funds for the National Marrow Donor Program.
In case you don't know much about the NMDP or bone marrow transplants, here's some info.
A bone marrow transplant is an incredibly intense life changing procedure that is necessary for saving lives of people with certain kinds of blood cancers and other blood diseases. There's a good chance you don't know anyone who has had a BMT. My husband had one in 2014, and my stepmom and a good friend had one in 2024. In my husband's case, he was lucky enough to have a sibling who was a good match- the chances are about 70% that one of your siblings would be a match. Both of the others required bone marrow from strangers. All three survived their transplants and are in full remission.
The chance of finding a donor from the National Marrow Registry is between 29-79% (depending on ethnic background). The more people who get registered, the better the odds are for everyone to find a match.
Getting on the registry is easy!! A simple cheek swab is all it takes. Donating your marrow is a wonderfully selfless act that can save a life.
