Dear Milkweed community,

We regret to tell you that we will be closing permanently. Sunday, October 5th will be our last day of regular service.

Our time in this space has been so full of joy and friends and delicious healing food and beverages. We’re walking away happy with all that we created and sustained for almost 7 years on Lake Street. This mom and pop shop would not have been the same without the support of all of our regulars, neighbors, friends, and most importantly staff who breathed life into our sunny corner. We are so grateful for this era of our lives and all we’ve learned. Thank you humbly for your patronage and encouragement!!

Our neighbors Hymie's Records next door are going out of business.😢Stop by this Saturday for their sale and warm goodbye to a Minneapolis institution! They will be very missed!

Hymie’s is going out of business. It’s all on sale: shelving, artwork, turntables, even the jukebox. Most of our inventory has already sold... records that remain are our $3 and $1 albums and our 45s: get them for a song!

Departing tomorrow from Milkweed!

Join our neighborhood 🚲 ride in the sunshine ☀ tomorrow morning at 9:30 am from Milkweed Coffee! The ride is short, 5 miles (you can do it!), and will include lots of stops to see other local businesses, murals, and even an eagles nest. Open to all -- including folks who have had a bike in their garage but haven't gotten it out in awhile....:) We'll have time to meet each other and ask your questions about bicycling in the city.
