Today, Martiya opens its doors. 🧡

For almost two years, we've had the honor of working alongside Abdirahman Kahin, the founder of Afro Deli and a true pillar of the Somali community here in the Twin Cities, to help bring his vision for Martiya to life.

To help build this restaurant, with this team, at this moment in the Twin Cities, and for the Somali community, has been an absolute pleasure and one of the most meaningful projects we've ever been part of.

Martiya is a place made for gathering: Purposeful, soulful family-style Somali and East African cooking. Fresh halal meats from the butcher to the plate, and big booths meant for everyone you love. It's rising at Lake & Nicollet, a corner that has been through so much and deserves a place like this.

Kahin, thank you for trusting us with something so close to your heart. To Chef Matthew & the entire Martiya team: you're ready. Go shine.
