It is with a heavy heart that we write to inform you about the closure of Bánh Appétit. We regret to announce that after careful consideration and evaluation, we have made the difficult decision to close our doors. Due to multiple reasons, we feel it would not be ideal for us to continue operations.
Over the years, it has been our privilege and pleasure to serve you as our esteemed customers. Your loyalty and support have been invaluable to us and we are immensely grateful for the trust you placed in our establishment.
We would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude for your patronage, as well as the memories and moments shared within our restaurant's walls. Whether you dined with us at our old location when we initially opened in 2009 (under the old name "Bun Mi Sandwiches") or at our current one, it has always been of great honor to be a part of your lives, your celebrations, and your everyday dining experiences.
With both of our locations being on or near the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, it has been incredible to see so many of you start as freshmans with us, graduate and move on to do some truly amazing things with your lives. We feel it is our time to put on our cap and gown as well.
As we begin to close this chapter, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to The Marshall building for allowing us to make 511 14th Ave SE our home for the past 6 years and to our wonderful staff that have turned in to family. Their unwavering commitment have been instrumental to our success.
Last but not least, thank you GIOT Cream Coffee for riding with us the last 1.5 years. It's been fun for sure. What started as a partnership grew in to something much more grand than we could have ever imagined. Thank you and we wish you guys much success at your new Richfield storefront location.
We hope to see all of you at least one last time before the curtains close.
Our last day of service will be 12/23/25.
