Momo Sushi Returns to Northeast MPLS!

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

We are beyond thrilled to announce that we have finally found a new home for Momo Sushi—right where Beast BBQ used to be! Every day, we’ve been hearing from you, asking when we’ll reopen and if we’re returning to Northeast. As I promised, we are back in Northeast, and we can’t wait to serve you.

There have been so many people reaching out to offer help and support during this journey. Many of our loyal customers even said they would not eat sushi anywhere else until Momo Sushi reopened. Your love, loyalty, and encouragement truly mean the world to us, and we will never forget it.

I want to give a special thank you to the previous owners—John, Jeff, Tai, and Kate—who, like us, deeply care about this community and care about our success. Because of your support and belief in us, this became possible.

I also want to extend a huge thank you to Bruce and Ned Cushman,Wakefield from HJ Development, and Andrea from Northeast Bank. Without all of you, this would not have happened.

We will keep everyone posted on the official opening date, so stay tuned! Thank you all for your support, your patience, and your love. We cannot wait to welcome you to our new home.

Dear Friends, Community Members, and Valued Customers,

I hope this message finds you well. As many of you know, Momo Sushi faced a significant challenge on the night of August 31st due to a devastating fire. The damage to our beloved space has been extensive, and as a result, we have had to pause our operations.

Many of you have been curious about what exactly happened inside. So here, we are sharing some of the details and images from inside the kitchen and the restaurant to help you understand the extent of the damage. The fire left behind severe destruction throughout the kitchen area and main dining space, impacting equipment, walls, and much of the structure we once proudly operated in.

We truly want to remain in the same Northeast location that we love, but unfortunately, our landlord is currently not willing to collaborate on the necessary repairs. Because of this, there is no certainty that we will rebuild at the same location. However, we are committed to bringing Momo Sushi back to Northeast or within this neighborhood as soon as possible.

In the meantime, we are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support, concern, and encouragement we’ve received from all of you. Many of you have visited our sister locations, such as Edina’s Ama Sushi and Maple Grove’s Apa Sushi, as well as Northeast’s own Momo Cafe. Your loyalty and encouragement have been a source of strength during this challenging period.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support. We look forward to welcoming you back to Momo Sushi in Northeast as soon as possible.
