Dear Amore Uptown Guests,

Drs. Basir and Mohiba Tareen have been owners of Amore Uptown ❤️ for the last 6 years. Tonight we are sharing with you some news about the change in ownership of Amore Uptown — please read the heart-felt message from Dr. Basir Tareen below:

“As a kid, I always wanted to own a restaurant. For the past 6 years our family got to live that dream owning our neighborhood Italian restaurant - Amore Uptown. We have loved hosting family events, political fundraisers, and most of all charitable community events.

Over the last 6 years Tim McHugh has been the best General Manager anyone could hope for. He has worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic, civil unrest, and supply chain issues just to name a few.

Over the last 3+ decades Tim has been a star employee at a number of establishments. I couldn’t be happier to gift the business (debt free) to Tim. He will now be sole OWNER. I know he will carry on the tradition of excellence. Congratulations!”

A beautiful sunny day for brunch at !

Ricotta pancakes with lemon curd and blueberries, and one of my favorites - a breakfast pizza! Garlic cream, fresh spinach, heirloom tomato, bacon, mozzarella, + a sunny side up egg 🤤

Can't forget the bottomless mimosas and coffee!! 🥂

Amore Uptown 🇮🇹 sponsored a dinner connecting successful college students from the U of MN Muslim Student Association and recently settled Afghani students. 🙌🏻

These highly accomplished college kids help mentor the Afghani kids and discuss everything from adapting to social life in the US to finding internships and options for higher learning.

It is our pleasure to serve these exceptional young adults and provide complimentary dinner whenever they wish to meet. Any MSA students mentoring in this capacity are welcome to meet with their mentee and eat free at Amore Uptown anytime. 👍🏻
