$40,000 to $44,000 annual salary
The General Manager is responsible for managing and developing all aspects of Crepe & Spoon. They are required to assist customers as needed and maintain a friendly, energetic demeanor.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
monitoring and controlling all costs and expenses; includes maintaining proper ordering and inventory control.
* Managing the Department staff including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching.
* Ensures cleanliness of food service area, storage area, and work area for safety; includes cleaning of shelves and products, keeping floors free of liquid spills or water, removing hazardous debris from floor and sweeping.
* Monitors the rotation of all food service products paying particular attention to expired stock and discarding outdated or spoiled items.
* Responds positively to customer’s inquiries and assists customers with purchases, while working the food service counter.
* Sustains a high level of product knowledge and product preparation.
* Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
* Preferred 4+ years experience in Food Service.
* Previous managerial experience is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Must have the capacity to take initiative when problems arise.
* Flexibility to adapt in a variety of situations.
* Development of recipes, and conniving of specials
* Basic competency with social media
* Must have advanced attention to detail with the capability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
* Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
* Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills for dealing cross functionally with employees and owner.
* Ability to multitask and have excellent organizational skills is essential.
* Must be able to lead, support and contribute to team goals.
* Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
* Must be familiar with Health Department guidelines and regulations as they pertain to a food service environment.
* Must have skills working with all food service equipment such as hot griddles, fridges and freezers.
* Ability to follow and direct team to follow recipes, spec, and schematic.
* Standing for long shifts and lifting up to fifty pounds.
Environmental Conditions:
* Inside – 90% Outside – 10%
* Some extreme temperatures are possible. Some ventilation and exhaust fans.
