The owner and main chef is Lisa Stonehouse, who has personally struggled with gluten and dairy intolerance and has also found the paleo diet to be helpful for many people. Also, with a daughter who struggled with peanut and egg allergies, she is very aware of the need to segregate foods and work with healthy and delicious alternatives. Personally, Lisa is married to Pastor Jason Stonehouse of Grace Church Roseville where she volunteers her skills regularly.

An appetizer table gives guests an experience from the moment they arrive.

Instead of waiting around for dinner, guests can grab a bite, mingle, and explore different options at their own pace. Plus, a beautifully styled spread adds another visual moment to the event before the main meal even begins.

It's welcoming, interactive, and an easy way to make the food experience feel more complete.

Why choose just one dessert when you can give your guests a little bit of everything?

A dessert table filled with an assortment of sweet treats gives guests the chance to grab their favorites, try something new, and come back for another bite later in the celebration.

At Stonehouse Catering, we love creating dessert spreads with variety in mind. Different flavors, textures, and bite sized options make the table more fun to explore while giving everyone something to look forward to.

Because sometimes the best way to end a great meal is with more than one dessert.

Would you like this to feel more elegant and polished or more playful and indulgent?

One of the coolest parts of custom catering is getting to create a menu that actually means something to the event.

Recently, we had the opportunity to build a Filipino meal for a nonprofit supporting communities in Cebu, Philippines. Instead of choosing from a standard menu, we were able to shape the food around the organization, the people they serve, and the story behind the gathering.

That is the kind of catering we love most.

We can work with you to create something that feels personal, unexpected, and completely connected to your event. Whether that means drawing inspiration from a culture, a favorite meal, a family tradition, or a specific theme, we are here to help bring the idea to life.

Sometimes the most memorable menus are the ones created specifically for the people in the room.

Not every dessert needs to introduce your guests to something new.

Sometimes you need the one they spot across the table and immediately reach for.

Peanut butter brownies bring two familiar favorites together in an easy, grab-and-go bite that doesn't need an explanation—or much convincing.

Save the surprises for somewhere else. Chocolate and peanut butter already know what they're doing. 🥜🍫

A great bar menu doesn’t have to offer every drink imaginable.

In fact, a more curated selection can give guests plenty of variety while helping you be more intentional with your event budget. Instead of stocking endless options, focus on a thoughtful mix that appeals to different tastes—then let those choices do the work.

At Stonehouse Catering, we can help you think through what makes sense for your guest list, menu, and overall celebration. The goal is to offer enough variety that everyone can find something they enjoy without paying for options that may barely get touched.

A smaller bar menu doesn’t have to feel limiting. When it’s planned well, it can feel intentional, elevated, and budget-conscious all at once. 🥂

A stuffed squash has the structure to become the center of the plate, with layers of flavor, texture, and hearty ingredients that make it feel complete and satisfying on its own.

Vegetarian guests shouldn't feel like their dinner was assembled from everyone else's side dishes.

Their plate deserves a main event too.

There’s a reason Marry Me Chicken has become such a favorite for weddings.

When you’re feeding a room full of guests with different tastes, you want an entrée that feels special enough for the occasion without being so adventurous that it loses the crowd. Our Marry Me Chicken hits that sweet spot.

It brings together comforting, familiar flavors with an elevated presentation that feels right at home on a wedding menu. It’s approachable, satisfying, and easy to build a complete meal around with thoughtfully paired sides.

At Stonehouse Catering, we believe a great wedding entrée doesn’t need to be complicated to be memorable. Sometimes it’s about taking flavors people already love and making them feel worthy of the celebration.

And with a name like Marry Me Chicken, it was practically made for weddings. 💍

Watermelon isn't just there to make a salad feel summery.

It brings sweetness, freshness, and a juicy contrast to salty, creamy, and savory ingredients—all in one bite.

It's especially good alongside a richer meal, where something cool and bright can keep the menu from feeling too heavy.

Sometimes the unexpected ingredient is the one that makes the whole salad work.

Cocktail hour appetizers have an important job: keep guests happy while giving them a taste of what’s still to come.

The key isn’t simply offering as many appetizers as possible. It’s creating the right amount of variety with different flavors, textures, and styles so there’s something for everyone—without guests filling up before dinner even begins.

At Stonehouse Catering, we help you build a cocktail hour menu that makes sense with the rest of your meal. That might mean balancing richer bites with something fresh and light or choosing a mix of familiar favorites and more unexpected options.

From bacon-wrapped dates and stuffed mushrooms to bruschetta crostini and mini crab cakes, every bite should have a purpose.

A great cocktail hour leaves guests satisfied—but still excited to see what’s for dinner.
