Sebastian Joe’s will be closed on 01/23/2026 in observance of ICE Out of Minnesota - Day of Truth and Freedom.
Joe’s has and will continue to be a place for community and refuge during these difficult times. This was not an easy decision to make. We take our responsibility to community, the people we serve, and our staff seriously. At the same time, our community is hurting and we have heard your calls for collective action.
The decision to close on January 23 is an intentional act of solidarity with our neighborhoods, staff, and greater community. We recognize this may be inconvenient or frustrating to those who stop in for their morning coffee.
Our hope is that this day provides space for reflection, rest, connections or participation that feel meaningful to you.
We will reopen on Saturday, January 24 as a place for to breathe, take refuge, and feel a little comfort.
In solidarity with all people experiencing terror right now; the only ice worth keeping in Minnesota is Ice Cream.
