Last year I had the great honour of contributing to Kitchens of Hope: Immigrants Share Stories of Resilience and Recipes From Home, where I shared my family’s mushroom and potato recipe. The book is available at local bookstores and online, and all proceeds benefit the nonprofit organization Advocates for Human Rights.
Yesterday, I gathered with fellow contributors Kate and Nadya, for a beautiful evening hosted by the wonderful writer Lee and the inspiring women of Les Dames d’Escoffier at Kate’s restaurant Oro by Nixta.
As an immigrant entrepreneur, I started with a dream of creating spaces where people could gather, connect, and feel at home through food. Throughout my journey, I’ve had the privilege of sharing part of my Nepali heritage here in Minnesota while building community through culture, storytelling, and hospitality.
This experience has taught me that success is not only measured by profit, but by the relationships we build and the sense of belonging we create for others. Grateful to be part of stories that bring people together through food, resilience, and hope. 🙏🏽
