Shiloh Cares Food Shelf - SCFS. SCFS- A free community health based & educational food shelf located within the heart of North Minneapolis that serves all residents, within Minneapolis and Hennepin County. We provide a “walk through” healthy client choice experience serving our customers with dignity and a smile. Food Shelf Hours:
Wednesday-Friday: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Intake closes at 2:30 pm
Sunday - Tuesday: Closed to the public. We serve both perishable and non-perishable food items in our food shelf. Our mission: is to eliminate food hunger among children and adults in North Minneapolis and Hennepin County by providing underserved residents in need with programming that provides accessible food, promotes the value of education, nutrition, increases self-sufficiency, promotes growth, and instills hope

🎉 Big news from North Minneapolis! Join us Wednesday, October 21st, 10:00 AM-1:00 PM, for the Grand Opening and Open House of the "Hope Vault 24/7" Food and Resource Lockers at Shiloh Cares Food Shelf - SCFS, the first innovative food and resource locker system of its kind in North Minneapolis.

The lockers will be stocked with rescued food, fresh produce from our youth-grown Agrihood garden and Minnesota farmers, and essential resources our Northside neighbors need most.

This is made possible through sponsorships from Second Harvest, The Cargill Foundation, Hennepin County, the MacLennan Foundation, The Anthony Family Foundation, and our CES community partners who stood with us and trained us through this process.

Join us for coffee and pastries as we cut the ribbon at 10:30 AM.

🎉 Change Starts With Community was honored today at Minneapolis City Hall! 🎉
The City of Minneapolis passed a resolution celebrating our Shiloh Cares Food Shelf - SCFS food rescue work alongside some incredible food leaders in our community.
Every month, we fill plates and rescue over 12,000 pounds of food headed for the landfill and we get it straight into the hands of our Northside and Hennepin County neighbors instead. Less waste and More meals creates Stronger, Healthy and Safer communities.
Thank you to Second Harvest Heartland, one of our biggest food rescue partners, and to Minneapolis City Council Members Robin Wonsley and Jason Chavez and the City of Minneapolis Homegrown team for seeing this work and making today possible.

🎉Funding Secured for the first Food/Resource temperature controlled Kiosk Lockers in North Minneapolis! 🎉

Thank you to Second Harvest Heartland, the Cargill Foundation, the Kathleen & Dave MacLennan Foundation, the Victor & Christine Anthony Foundation, The McKnight Foundation, Bishop Richard D Howell Jr. and CES in South Minneapolis for helping us to bring these innovative Food/Resource Locker Systems to Shiloh Cares Food Shelf - Northside Community Safety Resource Center located at Shiloh Temple International Ministries.

Together, we will expand fresh foods access to an additional 25 to 40 more families- 7 days a week- while also providing Naloxone and other resources to help save lives. This is what it looks like when philanthropy invests in what the community needs and non-profits are fiscally responsible with the resources which should bring the intended results.

Celebration Ceremony will happen later this summer once the lockers are installed on-site.

Because of YOU, Shiloh Cares Food Shelf -NCSRC was able to serve 3,588 households and distribute 197,340 pounds of food—while delivering fresh groceries —817 boxes of Narcan and 213 gun locks to our immigrant neighbors and community families right here in North Minneapolis and Hennepin County.

This is what it looks like when we come together and take care of each other.

From the very beginning of our Door2Door efforts, Erika L. Binger, Founder of V3 Sports, has stood with us in action in North Minneapolis — not just in words.

As we’ve worked tirelessly to get food, wraparound services, blankets, hats, gloves, clothing, and Narcan directly to the doors of our immigrant neighbors across Minneapolis, Erika has shown up with heart, consistency, and leadership.

When it matters most, some people don’t just talk — they show up. 💛

We are deeply grateful to Allison O'Toole, former CEO of Second Harvest Heartland and a true social impact changemaker in Minneapolis, who took time out of her busy schedule to personally deliver food & naloxone for Shiloh Cares Food Shelf - SCFS to our immigrant neighbors — and she brought a whole crew for delivery with her to the Northside of Minneapolis.

In this critical moment, we received over 13,000 calls and texts for food to the doors of our immigrant neighbors, this is on top of serving thousands of neighbors onsite each week.

We need drivers, food, gas, and rent support — and Allison, Maggie McCracken, CAP® of the Minneapolis Foundation, Erika L. Binger of V3, Hennepin County, and other partners have stepped forward when it counted.

This is what solidarity in Minneapolis looks like. This is what community looks like. This is what leadership looks like.

Statement from Nonprofit Hunger-Relief Organizations Serving Minneapolis and Minnesota

Shiloh Cares Food Shelf (NCSRC) stands in solidarity with nonprofit hunger-relief organizations across Minnesota. We are united with more than 100 food shelves and food bank partners in the metro and statewide in calling for an immediate end to the surge in federal immigration activity that is creating fear and barriers for families in need.

Our mission is to use food as a violence prevention tool- this ensures neighbors can safely access food, attend school, and seek healthcare and other life-saving services without fear. When fear keeps families isolated, hunger and violence deepens—and communities suffer.

Food access should never come with risk. We will continue to stand for dignity, safety, and the right of every neighbor to receive support in times of need.
