Our 10,000 Members are the men and women who work in the Meat, Deli & Seafood departments of Union stores across LI & NYC and are predominantly in the Retail and Wholesale Food Service, Distribution, Delivery, and Healthcare Industries. Together we are one of the largest and most active unions in the NY and Long Island area.

Summer mode activated 🔥

This Monday, Local 342 members their guests and our staff kicked off summer with the annual Local 342 BBQ in our Staten Island & Bohemia offices 🎉

With over 100 people across both offices, members got to kick back, catch up and enjoy the day!

Thanks to all who joined us, our next BBQ is Monday August 10th 🌺 and it will be Luau theme ! Hope to see you there

Local 342 is sad to announce the sudden passing of member, Anthony Funches of Stop & Shop.

This morning, the union was notified of the unexpected passing of Seafood Manager Anthony Funches at the grand re-opening of Stop & Shop in Long Beach.

A local 342 Union representative was immediately dispatched to the location to be with members in that shop and be sure all resources were made available for this tragic incident.

Anthony, formerly of the Stop & Shop in Baldwin was recently moved to the Long Beach location.

We extend our condolences to his family, friends and co-workers during this difficult time.

Once we know of the funeral arrangement details, we will share for those who wish to pay their respects.

Today we recognize Juneteenth. We reflect on freedom and unity for all.

Local 342 area offices will be closed today in observance of Juneteenth. We resume normal business hours Monday June 22nd at 9am.

As always, Union Representatives remain available.
