The Big D - Derek Schroeder - Memorial Poker Run is happening this weekend, supporting our kids and raising awareness for mental health.

The Schroeder family puts on an incredible fundraiser and is always finding ways to give back to others. Please reach out to Dustin Schroeder and his team for more information on how to participate or support the event.

Thank you to Minden and all the surrounding communities for continuing to think of our family. Your calls, messages, prayers, and support throughout the summer have meant more than we can put into words.

A quick update—the kids are doing great! They have had a busy summer and truly appreciate everyone who has checked in, helped out, and continued to show up for them.

It is hard to believe school starts again in just two weeks!

Thank you again for supporting our family, supporting our kids, and helping bring more awareness to mental health. We are incredibly grateful.

Join Flatwater Smokers this Memorial Day at the Windmill in Minden starting at 12:00 PM until SOLD OUT!

We’ll be serving our award-winning pulled pork with BBQ beans, chips, and of course the famous Old Lady Dessert Table. 🍖🔥🍰

This weekend, remember to support your local VFW and American Legion chapters. These organizations continue to support veterans, military funerals, local families, youth programs, and our communities every single day.

All profits from this cook go directly back to the team and local veteran support efforts — helping with uniforms, fuel for funeral honors, equipment upgrades for chapters, and continuing traditions that matter.

We appreciate this community and everything it continues to do for veterans and their families. Small towns still lead the way when it comes to honoring service and sacrifice.
