For over 13 years, Hamburger Mary’s has been serving up some of the juiciest burgers and glitziest Drag Shows Milwaukee has ever seen! And we look forward to many more years of serving this great city!
What follows is not a “closing” announcement, but more of a “We’ll Be Back Soon” announcement.
For the past year or so, Hamburger Mary’s has had our adjacent property on the market for sale (formerly Hunty’s Social Club & Mary’s Arcade Bar). A buyer emerged, who offered to purchase not only the corner bar buildings, but also the main building that houses Hamburger Mary’s. After much thought, we decided it was an offer we couldn’t refuse.
Therefore, it’s bittersweet to announce that Hamburger Mary’s will be closing temporarily while we look for a new location to re-open. We’ve done this before (when we moved from Bay View to Walkers Point in 2016), so rest assured Mary will be back and better than ever!
We want to thank our amazing staff of employees, our fabulous drag entertainers, and all the guests who have made Hamburger Mary’s such a magical place. We’ve loved sharing special moments and celebrations with you, and we hope to see you all very soon at a new location.
We hope that you will join us for one of our last shows at the current location at 730 S. 5th St. We will be open Thursday through Sunday, with our last day of operation planned for Sunday, July 28th. You can make a reservation online at hamburgermarys.com/mke.
