❤️ MILPITAS, WE NEED YOUR HELP
CASA AZTECA NEEDS A HOME
Dear Milpitas community, friends, neighbors, longtime customers, and everyone who has been part of the Casa Azteca family,
For 46 years, Casa Azteca has had the privilege of being part of this community.
Over those years, we have shared countless meals, celebrations, birthdays, family gatherings, friendships, laughter, and memories with so many wonderful people.
Casa Azteca is much more than a restaurant to us. It is a part of our family, and we hope it has become a small part of yours, too.
❤️ CASA AZTECA STILL HAS A FUTURE
Today, we are reaching out to our community because we need help finding a smaller, more sustainable home for Casa Azteca.
We are a small, independent family business. We have worked extremely hard to keep the restaurant going, but the cost of operating our current large space has become too great for the revenue the business generates today.
We believe Casa Azteca can continue to be a healthy and successful business in the right-sized space.
And we have a vision for the future.
We want to preserve the signature dishes and traditions our longtime customers love, while adding new menu items and fresh ideas that can welcome a new demographic and younger generation.
We are not looking backward. We are looking forward.
Nearly 20 hardworking working families depend on Casa Azteca for their livelihood. We know these employees, we know their families, and we care deeply about their future.
Finding the right space would mean much more than finding a building. It would help us protect jobs, preserve a legacy, and give these families the opportunity to continue building their lives.
🏠 HELP US FIND OUR NEXT HOME
We are looking for approximately 1,500–2,500 square feet, preferably an existing restaurant space, where we can operate more efficiently and build for the future.
Our first choice is Milpitas, because our heart is here and this is the community we have proudly served for 46 years.
We are also open to the right opportunity just across the Milpitas border in San Jose or Fremont.
The opportunity might come from a landlord or property owner with a vacant or soon-to-be-available restaurant space.
It might also come from a restaurant owner or operator who is ready to retire, sell, slow down, or transition out of the restaurant business, and would consider having Casa Azteca move into their existing restaurant.
If you are a restaurant owner, operator, landlord, property owner, realtor, or simply someone who knows of a possible opportunity, we would be incredibly grateful to hear from you.
Please share this message, pass it along, or tag someone who might be able to help.
Sometimes the right opportunity comes from one person simply knowing another person.
🙏 A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU
Before we look toward the future, we want to recognize the people and organizations who have been part of the Casa Azteca journey.
Our deepest gratitude goes to our founders, Beto and Socorro Cardenes, whose hard work, sacrifice, vision, and dedication created Casa Azteca and gave us the foundation to serve this community for 46 years.
We are also deeply thankful to David Souza, who played an important role in helping save Casa Azteca and keeping this family business alive.
We are especially grateful to our current landlord, who supported us and worked with us during the difficult years of the pandemic and is now willing to release us from our existing lease so we can find a smaller space better suited for our future. We will always remember that kindness, understanding, and support.
And to our entire community:
Thank you to every customer, family, friend, neighbor, citizen, local business, company, community leader, elected official, public servant, city employee, police officer, firefighter, first responder, public worker, school, teacher, student, administrator, nonprofit, charity, fundraiser, community organization, and local group that has been part of the community we are fortunate to call home.
Thank you to everyone who has supported local businesses, recommended Casa Azteca, shared our food, celebrated with us, encouraged us, or simply walked through our doors.
To those who have loved our food, service, and traditions—thank you.
To those who have offered compliments, suggestions, or constructive criticism—thank you.
And to those who may have been disappointed by our food, service, or any experience with us, we are sincerely sorry, and we thank you for giving us the opportunity to learn and improve.
Every compliment, complaint, suggestion, celebration, difficult moment, and act of kindness has helped shape our journey.
You are all part of the Casa Azteca story.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
🤝 WE ARE OPEN TO NEW IDEAS AND NEW PARTNERSHIPS
Times have changed, and we understand that the restaurant business must change with them.
If someone has a better idea, a different concept, or a creative way to help Casa Azteca continue its legacy and history, we are open to listening.
We are also open to joining hands, forming a partnership, or working together with the right people who believe in what Casa Azteca represents.
Our goal is simple:
We want to save Casa Azteca and keep its legacy alive.
We are willing to consider new ideas, new approaches, and new ways of doing things.
We are not afraid of change.
What matters most to us is preserving the heart, history, and spirit of Casa Azteca and giving it a future.
If you have an idea that we have not thought of, please reach out to us.
We are willing to listen.
❤️ HELP US WRITE THE NEXT CHAPTER
After 46 years, we have learned that a restaurant is not really about the building.
It is about the people.
It is about the families who work here.
The customers who have been coming for decades.
The children who grew up eating at Casa Azteca and now bring their own families.
The friendships, celebrations, traditions, and memories that cannot be measured in dollars.
We hope to continue creating those memories for many more years.
46 years brought us here.
With your help, we hope to make it 50 years, 60 years, and ultimately 100 years and beyond.
Whether you have been a customer for 46 years or discovered us recently, you are part of our story.
Please help us find the right home.
Please share this message.
Please tell someone who may know of a space.
Please reach out if you have an idea.
Together, we hope to write the next chapter of Casa Azteca.
❤️ WE DON'T NEED A BIGGER FUTURE.
❤️ WE JUST NEED THE RIGHT HOME FOR IT.
ALL WE NEED IS A HOME TO SERVE. ❤️
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Casa Azteca Family
