Late yesterday morning, firefighters were dispatched to South Harrison Twp. at the Gloucester County Solid Waste complex for a reported rubbish fire. Units arrived, advised of a deep seated rubbish fire, majority of the work to be handled by the complex employees, with their own water trucks, requesting tenders to keep them filled. Two fill stations were established at a nearby pond, and Harrisonville Lake, as tenders shuttled water back and forth. Units from South Harrison, Mullica Hill, Ferrell, Woolwich, Ferrell, Woodstown, East Greenwich, and Aura responded to the scene.
