We are excited to announce Winona will open for The Brothers Comatose in Mill Valley on Sept. 16th! Winona is a musician, songwriter, and performer based in Northern California. Her songs are mythic, her vocals haunting, full of melancholic longing and timeless beauty. Rooted in the folk music of the 1960s and inspired by modern indie songstresses, Winona’s sound is at once nostalgic and dew-fresh unique. Her influences include Feist, Kate Wolf, Courtney Marie Andrews, and (of course) Joni. Now backed by an immensely talented band, Winona’s songs are free to come entirely alive, with shimmering chord progressions, siren-like harmonies, and melodies that will spirit you away to the stars.
