Here in the Santiam Canyon, supporting local businesses means supporting our neighbors, our friends, and the people who help make our communities what they are.

Every time we choose to shop, eat, or do business locally, we’re helping keep dollars right here in the Canyon. And sometimes, even how we pay can make a difference.

Credit and debit card fees may seem small with each transaction, but for a small business, they can really add up. When you’re able to pay with cash, more of what you spend stays with that local business — helping pay employees, cover expenses, keep the doors open, and continue serving our community.

From Lyons and Mehama to Mill City, Gates, Detroit and Idanha, our local businesses are an important part of the heart of the Santiam Canyon.

So when you can, shop local, support local — and consider paying with cash.
