Bar Louis serves on the porch of the Hotel Fauchère even in colder months. The bar and restaurant space is located at the ground floor level of the Hotel, Bar Louis is a stylish, ultra-modern environment for casual and late-night dining, live entertainment and great cocktails. The sleek space was designed by architect William Reue to be “subtle, timeless and elegant.” Our iconic image behind the stunning bar is an enormous photograph of Andy Warhol and John Lennon by artist/photographer Christopher Makos. The rest of the restaurant features an exhibit called 'icons of the 80s' timeless photos by artist-photographer Christopher Makos featuring photos of Andy Warhol, Mick Jagger, Bill Murray, Elizabeth Taylor, Liza Minnelli, and more.

Saturday lunch has arrived on the Verandah.

Starting September 19, Bar Louis opens at 11 every Saturday and runs until 2. Outside. Full kitchen. No reason to be anywhere else.

Chef Johnny Delgado built this menu on the culinary principles of Louis Fauchère himself. Swiss born, French trained, and responsible for the standard this kitchen has held since 1852. Every plate on this menu carries that forward.

A few things worth ordering:

The Niçoise. Seared yellowtail tuna, farm greens, haricots vert, roasted potato, French olives, egg, and sherry vinaigrette. The kind of salad that makes you forget every sad desk lunch you have ever had.

The Sushi Pizza. Tempura nori sushi rice, yellowtail tuna, tobiko, crispy Thai basil, and ginger wasabi aioli. A Fauchère signature and the most photographed plate on the menu for good reason.

The Steak Frites. A 12oz strip, pomme frites, garlic herb maître d’ butter, and sauce au poivre. Saturday deserves this.

The Wagyu Burger. Wagyu beef, onion jam, thick cut bacon, gruyere, brioche bun, crispy frites. No notes.

The Crispy Swiss Style Potato Rosti. Smoked salmon, crème fraîche, pickled red onion, capers, fresh dill, lemon zest. Louis Fauchère would approve.

Add a 6oz filet, shrimp, or grilled chicken to anything on the menu.

Bar Louis does not rush you. The kitchen is serious. The bar knows what it is doing. The verandah is right there if the evening calls for it.
