Tonight was ABSOLUTELY INSANE, and we’re here for EVERY bit of it 🤯🥹🖤

Our goal, to run out of everything on the menu cause the ✨NEW ones launch next week…and it was a success! Staff took home only 10oz of brussels—ALL ELSE WIPED OUT❗️𝘕𝘰, 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘭𝘺 😳

Sometimes we still can’t believe this is REAL. Truly, thank you ALL for believing in us, sticking with us, growing with us and getting us to THIS POINT. And, thanks to those who didn’t…because honestly, you surly were the fuel we needed for our fire that’s burning bigger and brighter than ever 👊🏼

Some moments are too special not to share 🖼️🖤

Last evening, one of our guests, Matthew Ullrey, while dining in quietly sat and captured the soul of Black Sheep through his art—and we were absolutely blown away. As a talented tradigital artist, Matthew somehow managed to preserve so much more than a room. He captured our infamous Brandini behind the bar, AJ on the floor, and so many of the little details that make Black Sheep feel like, well, Black Sheep.

It’s incredible seeing your own space through someone else’s eyes, and this sketch is nothing short of remarkable.

Matthew, thank you for sharing your talent with us. We only wish we’d thought to ask for a copy before you left! If you happen to see this, we’d be honored to frame one and give it a permanent home here on our walls.

A little looksie at this week’s 𝘚𝘦𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘵 𝘚𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘔𝘦𝘯𝘶 small plate, which is bringing Maryland to the table in the most unapologetically delicious way.

Our 𝚌𝚛𝚊𝚋𝚋𝚢 𝚝𝚘𝚊𝚜𝚝 begins upon a bed of seasoned baby arugula with thick-cut local artisan sourdough, lavishly coated in our scratch-made Old Bay butter. Layered with fresh guacamole, honey-bourbon confit onions, Maryland jumbo lump crab, szechuan local asparagus tips, local cherry tomatoes, and local feta cheese. It’s finished with everything bagel seasoning and fresh scallions for the perfect balance of texture, freshness, and bold flavor.

One bite and you’ll understand why this has been the most ordered small plate this week!

A fun-filled family day with NO WORK after 10AM. Ending with a non-rushed shower, the best pj’s and s’mores with our kiddos and each other 🍫🔥

I don’t even know where to begin. Received this email at 1:14pm today.

Two months ago, this felt like a dream that was almost too big to say out loud. Since then, you’ve shown up every single day. You’ve voted. You’ve shared. You’ve cheered me on. You’ve believed in me, believed in Black Sheep, and believed in our incredible team.

To those who never doubted me—thank you for carrying me when I needed confidence.

And to those who did doubt me—thank you, too. You’ve reminded me that the only thing that truly matters is hard work, perseverance, and refusing to quit.

This isn’t just my accomplishment. It belongs to every guest who’s ever walked through our doors, every employee who pours their heart into this restaurant, every family member who sacrificed time with me, and every single person who took 10 seconds out of their day to cast a vote.

Y’all…we made the QUARTER FINALS 🥹 🤯
That sentence still doesn’t feel real.

But after a LONG two months…the real challenge begins Monday.

If you’ve been with me this far, I’m asking you to lace up one more time. I’ll need this amazing community behind me again. Every vote, every share, every encouraging comment makes a difference, and together we’ve already proven that this little restaurant with a big dream can accomplish extraordinary things.
