Well…this feels surreal 🀯 πŸ–€

Truthfully, I’m not really sure how I got here, all I know is I received an email on May 15th stating β€œI’ve been accepted”. I suppose some of y’all truly believe in me and that’s honorable, humbling, and worthy of tears.

I’m just a small town mama with a passion, who decided to chase a really big dream and somehow turned it into this little reality. One plate, one guest, one late night, one risk, and one prayer at a time. I still pinch myself daily.

To even be considered for Favorite Chef feels bigger than me. It feels like representation for every small business owner, every chef who built something from the ground up, every person who bet on themselves when the odds said not to.

✨Voting officially opened TODAY and runs through multiple rounds over the next several weeks. The winner receives the title of Favorite Chef, a feature in Taste of Home Magazine, $25,000, and an incredible cooking experience with Carla Hall on Chewed Up. Honestly…that’s wild to even type out.

As restaurant owners, there are long nights, exhausting weeks, endless prep lists, problem solving, pressure, and moments where you quietly wonder if people truly feel the heart behind what you’re creating. Then something like this comes through, and it reminds you exactly why you keep going.

Employee of the Month β€’ Best Chef de Partie πŸ–€

This month we’re recognizing Brandon for his unwavering commitment to our kitchen, incredible ability to handle pressure, unmatched work ethic, and team-first mentality. In a fast-paced kitchen where every detail matters, Brandon continues to show up ready to work, learn, adapt, and push through even the busiest nights without hesitation β€” and that absolutely does not go unnoticed.

Although Brandon has only been with our back of house team for a couple of months, he has quickly become a true asset to this restaurant and the people within it. Dependable, humble, hardworking, and always willing to step up wherever needed.

Outside of the kitchen, Brandon is a proud dad to two little girls. By day he’s spending time with his family and living life simply; by night he’s helping pump out plates and holding it down in the chaos of service. Somewhere in between, you’ll probably find him on a skateboard too πŸ›Ή
