Dear Patrons:

After over 18 months of serving the community, we have made the business decision to close the Tasty Eats Chinese Restaurant in Middletown, NY. This closure is effective March 7th, 2017.

As the result, we will be launching a new Chinese restaurant in Manhattan, which will continue our concept of offering the healthy, traditional Chinese cuisines.

We have had a phenomenal time serving you and we thank all of our loyal customers for your support and for making our restaurant a destination in the town.

Presents Exhibit of Paintings by Roberta Rosenthal (Liu Xian Fu)
Celebrating Chinese New Year of the Fire Rooster

January 2 – February 11, 2017
Artist Reception February 4, 2017, 2 – 4 pm

Tasty Eats restaurant presents a new art venue in Middletown, NY. To celebrate Chinese New Year they are featuring professional artist, Roberta Rosenthal also known as Liu Xian Fu. This exhibit features a selection of thirteen paintings, inspired by nature, to celebrate the Year of the Rooster. Roberta works in hand ground Chinese sumi-e ink, watercolor and gouache on Asian rice papers and silk. Her technique includes Asian brush techniques and traditional western watercolor painting. Her subjects include flowers, birds, animals and landscapes. Rosenthal's combines her life long experience as a botanical illustrator, textile designer and graphic artist with her love of Asian brush painting which drives her creative passion.

Rosenthal studied Japanese sumi-e painting and Asian sumi-e brush painting with sensei Koho Yamamoto and privately with Chinese master Guo Liang Jui. She is a graduate of the school of Art & Design, NYC and the Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC. Rosenthal received two certificates in Chinese language studies from SUNY OCCC. Roberta is a member of the Society of Illustrators, Wurtsboro Art Alliance, Oriental Art Guild, American Society of Botanical Artists and former board member of WAA, CAS, and GAG NY. Original artwork and archival prints to order are available for sale. Meet the artist at a reception on February 4, 2017 between 2 – 4 pm.

We are fortunate to host the traditional Chinese painting exhibition of Mrs. Roberta Rosenthal, a very talented and achieved fine artist from Sullivan County, New York.

From Jan. 2 till Feb. 11 ( 元宵节 Chinese Lantern Festival ), you will have the chance to enjoy several of her representative works. If you are a lover of traditional Chinese painting, you could also buy the original art piece for collection.
