We’re All Living for the First Time 🤎
Maybe the most freeing thing we can remember is this: Nobody knows what they’re doing.
Not really.
We’re all just trying to love our people well, raise our babies, build something we believe in, heal from things we don’t always talk about, and become someone we’re proud to be.
For the first time.
So why are we so quick to judge someone for being in a chapter we’ve never lived? Why do we expect grace when we’re unwilling to give it? Why are we measuring our lives against people whose stories we don’t even know?
Give yourself some damn grace.
And give it to other people, too.
That mom who looks like she has it all together? She’s figuring it out. The person starting over at 35? Figuring it out. The friend who disappeared for a while? Maybe she’s fighting a battle you know nothing about.
The person finally chasing the dream? Let them chase it. And you? Keep going.
If you got out of bed today, that matters.
If you took one step toward something you’ve been afraid to start, that matters. If you chose joy today after a really hard season, that matters.
You do not need to outrun anyone.
You do not need to prove that your life is bigger, prettier, faster, or more successful than someone else’s. The only person you need to beat is the person you were yesterday. Everything else is noise.
And this world is already loud enough.
So let’s be the people who make it a little softer.
Love more. Judge less. Clap for someone else without wondering when it’s going to be your turn.
Make the phone call. Take the picture. Start the business. Go on the adventure. Wear the dang dress.
Apologize first. Try again. Tell people you love them while you still can.
Because one day, we’re going to look back and realize we spent so much time worrying about whether we were doing life right… when we were actually just supposed to be living it. There is room for change.
There is room for growth. There is room for messy beginnings and beautiful second chances.
There is room for you. And there is room for me.
We’re all living for the first time.
Let’s stop acting like we’re supposed to have it all figured out. 🤎
