Nourished to a T Bakery Welcome to my corner of sourdough haven! My name is Tierney and I am a holistic health coach, wife, and mom of 2 kiddos.

Sourdough became my passion in 2021 when I realized how important it was to learn basic skills to feed my family with food I could produce on my own. A little behind-the-scenes look at where all the sourdough magic happens ✨

Last week was my annual kitchen inspection for my cottage bakery license. Every year, my kitchen is inspected to ensure it meets the requirements for safely producing the breads and baked goods that make their way to your tables.

While the beautiful loaves, golden crusts, and fresh bakes often get the spotlight, there's a lot that happens behind the scenes to keep this little business running. From ingredient storage and sanitation practices to organization and record keeping, maintaining a licensed home bakery takes dedication long before the dough is mixed.

This kitchen may not look fancy, but it's where every loaf is mixed, shaped, baked, and shared with love. šŸžšŸ’•

True story: I actually had a customer tell me her & her husband couldn’t wait to dig in before leaving the driveway after picking up a fresh loaf of cheddar jalapeƱo. They were breaking pieces right off the bread. That’s how good it is. šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

There’s just something about fresh sourdough the crackling crust, the smell of slow fermentation, and that first warm slice with melting butter that feels like pure comfort.

Fresh baked and made with love. And yes… it tastes as good as it looks. šŸ¤šŸž

Last night was pure magic ✨

While everyone was filling their glasses with wine, my cup was being filled in a completely different way—getting to teach, connect, and share something I love so deeply with all of you. There’s just something special about gathering around sourdough… slowing down, learning a new skill, and creating something with your own two hands.

I’m so grateful for each of you who came out—you made the night what it was šŸ¤
