Many people have asked me to share some recipes … I’ve been on the fence about it BUT decided it’s fun to share and this one was the MOST requested! Enjoy ….
BEST ALFREDO SAUCE EVER
1/2 cup BUTTER (one stick)
4 oz Cream Cheese (1/2 block)
2 cups HEAVY WHIPPING cream (no shortcuts)
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper (or more to taste)
1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan Cheese
Let your cream cheese and butter come to room temp and melt in 2 quart saucepan. Add Cream and spices and let all melt together. Whisk so there are no chunks of cream cheese and sauce begins to thicken. This takes about 20 min. on medium heat. Add your Parmesan cheese and stir until thick consistency and the sauce sticks to the back of your spoon. Enjoy over pasta/ravioli with veggies, with chicken or whatever suits your fancy! An easy addition would be some sautéed mushrooms. Hope you like this! Let me know if you try it!
