3 YEARS waiting for this sign 🙌🏼🍕

And now our family gets to stand underneath it 🩵

If you’ve been following along, you already know how much has gone into getting No Name Pizza to this moment. The paperwork. The permits. The licenses. The inspections. The insurance. The accounting. The hiring and interviews. The certifications. The equipment moves. The plumbing problems. Painting walls. Ordering supplies. Decorating. Cleaning. Fixing things we didn’t know needed fixing. 😅

Basically… learning how to open a restaurant in real time while raising our family and continuing to show up every single day.

Some weeks have felt like everything was moving forward. Other weeks, like we took two steps back. But every single day, we’ve gotten a little closer. 🙏🏼

And THIS SIGN… this one means the world to us.

We’ve waited 3 years to see NO NAME PIZZA on the front of our own shop. Three years of dreaming about what this could become, building the brand, making pizzas, taking chances, figuring things out as we went and believing that eventually we’d get here.

And now WE’RE HERE 🥹

There is still work to do (because apparently the to-do list never actually ends lol), but we finally have a date we’re working toward…

PROJECTED OPENING: SEPTEMBER 7 🎉

We say projected because if opening a restaurant has taught us anything, it’s that some things are completely out of our hands. But trust us when we say we are doing EVERYTHING we can to get this door open and start making pizzas for you.

WEEK 3 UPDATE 🍕🔑 THE ADDRESS REVEAL IS HERE!

Week 3 tested us. 😅

There were definitely a few moments where it felt like one thing after another… plumbing issues, unexpected problems, extra long days, lots of learning, and an ever-growing to-do list.

But somehow, piece by piece, it’s all coming together. 🤍

This week we Painted the shop walls AND gave the bathroom a much-needed makeover with some amazing help from Damian 🙌

Ani took a DEEP dive into the accounting side of running a business. Turns out opening a pizza shop also means learning a whole new language called QuickBooks. 😂

Continued interviewing and building our No Name Pizza team. Ordered decorations and started bringing more of our personality into our new home.

Dealt with some plumbing surprises… because apparently no restaurant opening story is complete without those. 😅

And somehow that list still doesn’t come close to everything we’ve been doing behind the scenes. There’s still SO much left to do, but every week this place feels a little more like ours.

And now for the part we’ve been waiting to share…

No Name Pizza is getting its first brick & mortar 🥹🍕🔑

When we said goodbye to Wynwood Marketplace, we weren’t quite ready to share what was next. But… you guessed it. Surprise? lol ❤️

For the first time, No Name Pizza is getting a space of its own and for the first time, we’re learning what it actually takes to open a small restaurant from the ground up.

And wow… it’s A LOT. 😂

The last couple of weeks have looked like setting up utilities, meeting our new landlord, introducing ourselves to our neighbors (and our security guard 🤝), cleaning and organizing every corner of the shop, submitting permit paperwork, figuring out signage, posting jobs, deciding what to do with the walls, getting business insurance, opening business bank accounts… and approximately 444 other things we didn’t know we needed to do until we needed to do them. 😅

All while raising our kids full time and trying to keep regular life moving in between. Send help. lol It hasn’t been easy. Some days have been overwhelming. Most days we’re learning something completely new.

But underneath all of it is this feeling of holy sh*t… we’re actually doing this. ❤️‍🔥

Two years at Wynwood gave us the opportunity to build No Name, learn, make mistakes, grow, meet so many of you and prove to ourselves that this little pizza dream could become something bigger.

And now we get the opportunity to give it a home with its own walls and doors. We are so incredibly grateful. 🙏🏼

We’re doing our best, figuring it out one checklist at a time, and hoping to have these doors open the first week of September. 🤞🏼🍕

There’s still A LOT to do between now and then… but it’ll get done. One permit. One phone call. One cleaned shelf. One decision. One very long day at a time. 😂

After two incredible years, our chapter at Wynwood Marketplace has officially come to a close. 🥹🍕

What started as a little pizza spot became so much more because of you.

To our Wynwood community, our regulars who showed up week after week, the people who told their friends about us, brought their families, celebrated with us, supported us, and became familiar faces we genuinely looked forward to seeing THANK YOU ❤️

These last two years gave us the space to grow, learn, build relationships, find our people, and turn No Name Pizza into what it is today. We’ll forever be grateful for the community that helped us build this thing one pizza at a time.

But this isn’t goodbye. 🫶🏻

It’s actually the beginning of something we’ve been working toward for a long time…

Wynwood, thank you for being our first home. You’ll always be part of our story. 🙏🏼

Two years ago, this dream looked a lot different.

It looked like one person making dough before sunrise, par-baking every crust, setting up the trailer, opening for service, closing it all down, and waking up to do it again the next day.

Looking back now, it’s easy to see the growth. But when you’re living it, it just feels like another long day.

We’re incredibly grateful to the first person who believed in Erik’s vision enough to invest in it before it was what it is today. That belief created an opportunity to build something from the ground up, one pizza, one customer, and one lesson at a time.

Along the way, Erik didn’t just become a better pizza maker. He became a better leader, a better teammate, and learned what it really means to collaborate, trust people, and build something bigger than yourself.

None of this happened overnight, and none of it happened alone.

To everyone who’s ordered a pizza, shared a post, waited in line, encouraged us, worked alongside us, or believed in this little pizza company… thank you. You’re part of this story too.

It’s wild how fast two years can go. ❤️🍕

Building this little pizza dream has been one of the hardest and most rewarding things we’ve ever done, and somehow you’ve all become part of the story too. 🙏🏼
