Ever wonder what it takes to bring Florida spiny lobster to your plate? Our fisherman Juan takes us out on the water for a look at the processā€”pulling traps, checking each one, and putting in the long hours it takes to make it happen.

Lobster fishing is tedious, demanding work, and thereā€™s a whole lot that happens before that lobster ever reaches our dock. This is where it all starts.

Caught right here in Florida waters and brought straight from our boats to Garciaā€™s. It doesnā€™t get much fresher than that.

Last week, we said goodbye to the heart and soul, and beloved matriarch of our family, Maria Luisa Garcia. ā¤ļø

In 1993, Maria, alongside her sons and her late husband, opened Garciaā€™s Seafood. For more than 30 years, she dedicated her heart and her time; she gave her all to this restaurant and community that meant so much to her.

Maria was a familiar face to so many. She was the first person you saw upon walking through our doors. She was the best Cuban coffee maker and stone crab cracker aroundā€”no one could ever do it quite like Maria. ā˜•ļøšŸ¦€

More than anything, weā€™ll miss her: her love, her presence, her humor, and the special place she held in all of our hearts.

Rest in peace, Maria. We love you, and we will miss you more than words can say. šŸŸ
