A New Chapter ☕️🤍
Dear Metlakatla, and all of our amazing customers,
After an incredible journey, Shadow Mountain Coffee will officially be closing its doors on September 30th.
Building a small business in my hometown was a dream—one I was fortunate to bring to life alongside my parents, my husband, and my daughter. What started as a dream became so much more than I ever imagined.
This community has meant the world to me. One of the most rewarding parts has been the opportunity to work with and mentor the youth of Metlakatla, helping them build confidence, responsibility, and skills through successful employment.
And to my crew, past and present—you truly have my heart. The friendships, laughter, and memories we’ve shared are something I will carry with me always.
To everyone who stopped for coffee, shared a laugh, recommended us, or simply chose to support a small local business—THANK YOU.❤️ You made Shadow Mountain Coffee what it became, and I am forever grateful.
Thankfully, this isn’t the end of coffee at our little spot!
While Shadow Mountain Coffee is coming to an end, I’m so happy to share that the coffee shop will continue under new ownership.
The name may change, but the coffee will keep flowing! You’ll see new and familiar faces behind the window, including some of our wonderful crew continuing to serve your favorite drinks with the incredible customer service you know and love.
Knowing that this little place we poured so much love into will continue serving our beautiful community makes saying goodbye a little easier. One chapter is closing, but another is just beginning.
I’ll leave the introductions and exciting details for the new owners to share when they’re ready.
Metlakatla, I hope you’ll welcome this next chapter with the same kindness and support you’ve shown us over the years.
Our final day is September 30th. Please use any remaining gift cards and turn in your punch cards before we close.
I love you all, and I cannot thank you enough for supporting my family, my crew, and this little dream of mine.
Cheers to new beginnings, happy hearts, and many more cups of coffee in Metlakatla.❤️
With so much LOVE and GRATITUDE,
Kristi
