Sometimes you just get lucky . . . In New Orleans for work, looked for a place for dinner my crew and I could reasonably expect a vegan/vegetarian meal. We decided on Italian and I went on Yelp to find a place. Called an Uber and off we went. The Uber driver said, “you want really good Italian food, let me take you someplace else. You picked out a chain restaurant. I know a great place and I’m friends with the chef”. Say less! I asked if we had to change the destination and he said not to worry about it (he got a great tip!). Off we went to . The place was beautiful, Sinatra in the background. Chef/owner came out and spoke to us about New York and family and food, like we knew him for ever. The best part was when I asked if he could make something vegan and he came out with this incredible pasta dish with mushrooms, spinach, sundried tomato and olive oil. Sometimes you just get lucky!
