The group was to hold their Sunday services which included meetings and visiting the members in the area as well as the mid-week meeting every Wednesday afternoon. We had to find a way of raising some money to accommodate the members in the San Tan in times of emergency and also for social gatherings. Knowing that the people of the SE enjoy Indian Frybred, we collectively decided to set up a booth
at the Arizona State Fair to sell Indian Frybread. All the money that would be raised would be donated to the congregations emergency/social fund. It was here that we learned to make Indian Frybread. Several years later in 1989, John and Carol Deshetler moved next door. John saw the potential of a business opportunity selling Indian Frybread so John convinced Aisea that they should go into a partnership selling Indian Frybread at special events and named their venture as AJ Enterprises. After a few years in 1989, John saw other avenues to explore and decided to sell AJ Enterprises to Aisea and his family later known as MAE Inc (Mele and Aisea Entrprises, Incorporate) Also in the same year after being employed for 10 years, Mele decided to quit Motorola. Together they saw potential growth of a family owned and operated business selling Indian Frybread so the journey began. Through the year, MAE INC has been fortunate to have continued business totally 10 months out of the year. 9 of those months are spent in events locally in the various cities, the other one month is spent in the cool air of Utah and Idaho. MAE INC is an active member of the several chamber of commerce's including Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, Scottsdale, Tucson and Phoenix. We've taken part in many special events namely:
* The SuperBowl # # #
* Barret Jackson
* The Phoenix Open 1989
* Festivals in the pines in Flagstaff
* Tucson Arts and Crafts
* Arizona State Fair
* Maricopa County Fair
