Ever wondered where the name "hot dog" comes from? 🧐

According to the NHDSC’s Hot Dog Fast Facts, it all started in 1906 when a cartoonist was inspired by vendors selling "hot dachshund sausages."

The catch? He couldn’t figure out how to spell "dachshund" (can you blame him?), so he improvised and called them hot dogs! The rest, as they say, is history and now we can enjoy this classic with a name as fun as it is delicious.
