⭐ Ash found me in 2013 during a period of my life when I needed a companion the most and of course, he is my contribution to our mini cat hoard.

⭐ He is a fancy east coast cat, found in the suburbs of Pennsylvania and has the ego to prove it 💅. In PA, Ash and I would share any food I brought home with me at night after my closing barista shifts- we’ve been bonded ever since!

⭐ He loves playing with string or laser toys, demanding treats, drinking out of the sink, sleeping in the most out of pocket places, and being the reason we can’t have real plants 🙄.

⭐ People often ask me, “Why Ash and not any of your other cats?” and the response is quite simple; Ash is an important staple in my life. It’s also worth noting that Ash is the only one that handles affection, dress up, and pictures well, and is much more tolerant of my shenanigans when compared to my other cats 👀.

☕ My dedication for serving and creating quality coffee started in 2013 when I began working for a large coffee chain as a barista and eventually, a shift supervisor. The combined 7 years I spent working for them was an invaluable opportunity as I was able to obtain extensive experience and knowledge in not only coffee but leadership, serving quality products, and most importantly, customer connection 🧑‍🤝‍🧑.

☕ Climbing the corporate ladder was something I initially planned on working towards; however, I instead began my career as an emergency veterinary assistant in 2020 🩺.

☕ I started development for Ash’s Place in 2021 after some time working both jobs and in 2022 I made the decision to leave corporate coffee, vowing to never be a barista again.. unless it was for myself, of course 💁🏽‍♀️

☕ I’ve made great strides in developing Ash’s Place since then and I continue to work overnights in veterinary medicine while also further establishing this business.

☕ I currently have four cats (including Ash) that I will be introducing over the next few weeks as well as a pitbull mix that may deserve an honorable mention 🤔? I haven’t decided yet.

Hello everyone!

It's been awhile on any developments/updates on what's going on and I sincerely apologize!

I am still actively working on making Ash's Place a reality.

Here are some things I've been working on:
1.) Researched everything required for operations and costs (i.e. equipment, inventory)
2.) Completed a cost sheet to give me an idea on how much capital is needed in order to apply for a loan and open a brick and mortar. I also completed my business plan to thoroughly organize my ideas
3.) Purchased an at home espresso machine to experiment with different brands of syrup/sauce flavors and drink combinations (currently leaning towards Torani as they have a wide selection of flavors)
4.) Contacted local roasters and sampled some of their selections (Fire Creek Coffee is my favorite so far!)
5.) Researched obtaining business loans, working capital, licenses, and permits

I am steadily on the right track however, through my research I've discovered that obtaining a large start up business loan is incredibly difficult as they require a minimum 2 years in business and $100k+ in yearly revenue.

I am currently brainstorming other avenues to start making business income. I have one steady idea that is in development, but will update if/when that comes into fruition.

With that being said, I would like to start introducing my own cats and their personalities as the 4 of them can practically make up their own mini cat cafe as well as some more information on how my passion for cats and coffee came to be.
