New generation, great music. 🤘
Meet Saylor and the Captains and American Chunk, two of the youngest bands playing out on the Space Coast right now. Saylor & The Captains have only been at it less than two years, and American Chunk is even newer. These guys are the kids of MIXTAPE KIDS
Here's the thing: most bands around here have been at it for years, and there just aren't a ton of young musicians stepping up to keep live music going strong. These two bands are doing exactly that, and they're not up there playing whatever's on the radio today. They're playing a great mix of hits across the decades.
If we want live music to stick around on the Space Coast for the next generation, it starts with supporting the next generation of musicians. Go catch a set, buy them a drink (the legal ones, anyway), and let them know we're glad they're here. You can catch American Chunk opening for Mixtape Kids at Johnathan's Pub Friday at 7:30 (this is Friday Fest week,) and Saylor & the Captains are headlining Rock the Dock Sunday at Dolphins Waterfront Bar & Grill
