Releasing tomorrow at the Professional Firefighters of Merrimack IAFF Local 2904's party:

The collaboration beer "ENGINE 3" AMERICAN PALE ALE, named for the historic Engine 3 formerly of the Merrimack Fire Department. A new design (thanks Doug) this ale is light, refreshing & hoppy; the perfect beer for a hot day. We'll also have Blue Nose Pit Masters BBQ, raffles, merch and more to support our local firefighters.

STORY: Engine 3 is a custom-built X50 International Harvester / Maxim D35 fire engine, which began its service in town on July 25th, 1938, and quickly became known as the “Pride of the Department.” It would go on to serve at all of Merrimack’s fire stations, including the original Central Station & the old Reeds Ferry Fire Station on Elm Street.

After over 40 years of dedicated service, Engine 3 was retired from active duty and sold to the Merrimack Fire Fighters Association on August 8, 1980 (46 years ago tomorrow!), who still maintains it to this day, bringing it to events across the state, including the Merrimack Fourth of July Parade every year (if you're a local, you probably know Engine 3 well).

A portion of our proceeds from "ENGINE 3" sales (whether in-house or via distribution) will go to support the Professional Firefighters of Merrimack IAFF Local 2904 🤙

ALSO, we don't have a lot of volume to send out for distribution, so we'd like to keep it as local as possible and could use your help: Let us know what spots in town you think would be best to send a keg or some cases to in the comments 👇

Thanks everyone; looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow! Cheers 🍻
