If you'd told us last year that a little grill tucked away on a golf course would be nominated in all these categories, we'd have probably laughed and gone back to cooking burgers.

But here we are.

The Back 9 Grill has been nominated in The Meridian Star Readers' Choice 2026 for:

• Best Buffet/Salad Bar
• Best Caterer
• Best Hamburger
• Best Home Cooking
• Best Kids Meal
• Best Margarita/Cocktail
• Best Pizza
• Best Place to Get a Beer
• Best Wait Staff
• Best Steaks

And Briarwood Golf and Swim Club has been nominated for Best Golf Course/Country Club.

It's not about the number of nominations that we have received, It's the community that has helped us get here. The golfers grabbing a cold drink and a bite after a round. The families that stop in after church. The folks who tell their friends, "Y'all need to try The Back 9."

This place only works because of your support, and the encouragement we've received over the last year has been more than we ever imagined. We are truly grateful to be a small part of so many birthdays, lunches, celebrations, golf outings, date nights, and everyday moments.

Whether you've eaten one burger or a hundred, ordered catering, joined us for steak night, or just stopped by for a cold beer and good company, thank you.
