Running a little Northwoods business sometimes feels a lot like finding a wild mushroom.
You wander along, doing your thang 💃🕺, and suddenly there it is—something wonderful you weren't expecting.

To the couples, locals, families, businesses and every person who reaches out, recommends us, or comes back again…

A Love Letter to a White Chocolate-Covered Strawberry “Cake” 🍓🤍

Dear Strawberry Stack,

You may not technically be a cake, but frankly, labels are overrated.

You are strawberries dressed head to toe in white chocolate, stacked unapologetically high, with blueberries and raspberries tucked into every little space like edible jewels.

No layers of sponge.
No buttercream.
No rules.

Just juicy berries, creamy white chocolate, and the confidence to call yourself a cake anyway.

You're a little messy. A little dramatic. Completely over the top. (Sounds like someone I know 😅)
And I wouldn't change a thing.
Some desserts are made to be eaten.

You were made to be stared at first 👀

A Declaration of Love to Tiramisu 🤎

Dear Tiramisu,

I love you.
There. I said it.
I love your espresso-soaked ladyfingers, your ridiculous clouds of mascarpone, and that unapologetic blanket of cocoa on top.

You don't need frosting.
You don't need sprinkles.
You don't need to reinvent yourself.

You have coffee. You have cream. You have carbs.

You have everything 👏

I've met other desserts. I've enjoyed their company. Some were even quite lovely 😍

But they weren't you.
Blueberry may come along and turn my head every now and then, but you—the O.G.—will always have my heart.

An Ode to Blueberry Tiramisu 🫐

Oh, you beautiful, ridiculous thing 😍
Layers of delicate ladyfingers, creamy mascarpone, blueberry goodness tucked throughout, and enough fresh blueberries on top to make it perfectly clear who the star of this show is 😉

Tall. Creamy. Berry-filled. A little dramatic. Wrapped in ladyfingers and tied with twine because apparently tiramisu can dress for the occasion too. 😂

Traditional? Absolutely not.

Delicious? Absolutely!!

This is what happens when classic tiramisu wanders into the Northwoods during blueberry season. 🫐🌿

This is what we mean when we say "local" 🌱

We took a little field trip to Hillstar Farm in Tomahawk, and all of this gorgeous lettuce has us VERY excited about an upcoming wedding.

We’re collaborating with Hillstar to create a live-cut salad bar — beautiful heads of locally grown lettuce displayed right at the station and freshly cut for guests as they build their salads.

Not lettuce that traveled halfway across the country.
Not a bag dumped into a bowl.
Grown here ✔️
Cut fresh ✔️
Served right there ✔️✔️

It’s going to be part salad bar, part experience, and completely our style.

We love finding ways to bring Northwoods growers into the celebrations we cater, and this one is going to be so much fun.

A little Field, Fork & Fire for a beautiful bridal get-together 🤍🌿

They absolutely nailed this lakeside table 👏 Hydrangeas, candlelight, those gorgeous blue glasses, and the sweetest personalized menus. My job was to come in and make dinner worthy of the setting 😉

Summer berry salads, herb-roasted beef, all the cozy sides, and crème brûlée with blueberries and a little floral finish to end the evening 🌸

Good food, a beautiful table, a Northwoods sunset, and the people you love gathered around it. This is exactly why I love private chef dinners. 💙

Some desserts are just meant to be the center of attention. ❤️
A giant heart-shaped tiramisu, made from scratch and dressed with fresh raspberries for one very sweet celebration.
Layers of coffee-soaked goodness, creamy mascarpone and cocoa… basically a love letter you can eat. 🤎

And yes, she tasted every bit as good as she looked 😉

We’ve literally been everywhere lately — if it’s within about 2½ hours of Mercer, there’s a pretty good chance we’ve packed the trucks and headed that way. 😂🤍

So many miles. So many beautiful events. Soooooo many back roads.
And every once in a while, between the shopping lists, prep, cooking, loading and unloading, we remember to stop and look around.

Creeks running through the woods. Wild berries along the way. Old apple trees heavy with fruit. Trees that have probably been standing there longer than any of us.
Turns out, some of the best parts of this job happen between where we started and where we’re going. 🌿

We’ve been busy… but goodness, we get to work in a beautiful little corner of the world. ❤️

Summer weddings in the Northwoods just hit different. 🤍🌿
Beautiful food, a tent tucked into the trees, a packed dance floor and all those little details that make a wedding feel like them.

We came. We fed everyone. They danced. That’s a pretty perfect night. ✨🥂

Funny how a table starts out as just wood, linen, and empty chairs...
A few hours later it's where grandparents tell stories, friends laugh until they cry, someone sneaks an extra dinner roll, a couple shares their first meal as newlyweds, and memories are made over food made with love.

We've been lucky enough to stand behind some incredible tables, quietly making sure every plate, every course, and every little detail comes together so our clients can simply be present.

These are just a few of the beautiful tables we've had the honor of serving. Here's to all the celebrations still to come. 🤍
