After hearing your feedback (you all are very convincing) I’ve reconsidered the decision to “retire” and will continue to operate the coffee roasting business. That being said, I do indeed need to dial back the current business model. I’ve decided we will move forward with roasting EVERY OTHER MONTH. I feel this model will work best for us as we navigate welcoming another member to our family this fall and for you as customers to ensure you can still enjoy Beanie Hat Coffee ☕️
*Important* we will be taking off the months of July and August in order for me to complete some house projects that require my undivided attention as we prepare for baby to arrive. We will then return to roast the first week in September (details on this to follow). With this in mind we only have 2 more roast days until September (6/22 and 6/29). Be sure to get your orders in before this time and order enough to last until we return in September. Lots of folks have asked how we recommend storing coffee and how long it will stay fresh.
☕️Do store it in an airtight container
☕️Do store it in a dark/cool location like a pantry
❌Don’t store it in your fridge (it’ll absorb all the odors of whatever is in there)
❌Don’t freeze it UNLESS you’re vacuum sealing it and it’s whole beans. Disclaimer: we’ve never done this personally but our research tells us this is a viable option.
With these tips the coffee will be nice and fresh for up to 3 months (longer if you’re vac sealing and freezing).
We appreciate all of your support and outreach. Please reach out to us with any questions.
