Memphis just landed on U.S. News & World Report’s list of best food cities… and we’re over here smiling like, “yep, that tracks.”

We’ve had a front-row seat to this city’s flavor for a long time — from early morning regulars to late-night sweet tooth runs. Being part of what makes Memphis special isn’t something we take lightly.

And seeing Gibson’s Donuts mentioned along the way? That’s just the cherry on top. 🍩

Thank you for showing up, day after day, and making this place what it is. Memphis knows good food — and we’re proud to be part of it.

Some stories just come full circle ❤️

Today we learned that one of our own, Ella Ann Russell, has a beautiful connection to Gibson’s.

Her grandparents were part of the morning crew here for years—regulars who showed up every single day, shared coffee, laughter, and sat among familiar faces (including John Calipari and the rest of the table). Her grandmother, Fern, was one of those people who made mornings feel like home.

Now Ella Ann is behind the counter, continuing a legacy she didn’t even realize she was stepping into.

We’re honored to have her here—and to have been part of her family’s story all along.

If you remember Fern, we’d love to hear your memories.

We were sorry to hear about Jim Gordon’s passing. He loved Gibsons and we loved him. All of our love to his friends and family.
