🍂 Another creative Saturday is coming to Nola’s!

We had a great time getting ready for Bills season last weekend, and this Saturday we’re bringing a couple more signs of fall to the craft tables.

👻 Ghost Garland | 12–2 PM | $25
These spooky, mischievous little ghosts are ready to find their way into your home! Made with quality cotton and linen fabrics, they’re sure to be a fun statement or accent piece for your fall decorating. No experience needed and everything is included!

🍁 Burlap Fall Wreath | 5–7:30 PM | $65
Burlap wreath making is no joke. There’s pulling, twisting, re-pulling, wiring… oh my! Come learn the ropes with us. Pun intended. 😂

The flowers and ribbon were hand picked by Mrs. Nola after several “well, that’s just inventory loss” moments. 😂 They’re gorgeous, and we’ll show you how to put it all together while learning skills you can use for future seasonal wreaths.

The wreath workshop is limited to 6 people, and a $25 deposit reserves your spot.

And as always, our in house crafts are available all day. Come for a workshop or just stop in, grab a drink, pick a project and create!

Summer has been pretty amazing, but the leaves will be changing before we know it. The nights are getting a little cooler, the hoodies are starting to find their way back into the laundry rotation, and somewhere out there somebody is already getting their favorite wing place on speed dial. 😂

Our little Chaos crew is officially set! 💜

Registration for this session of Chaos Crochet Club is now closed.

Thank you to everyone who signed up and trusted Mrs. Nola when she said, “I saw something on TikTok and I have an idea…” 🤣

And if you missed this round, stay tuned! We’re already planning another Chaos Crochet Club for this winter. 🧶❄️

🎨 Talk of the Town 🎨

This week, we’re doing Talk of the Town a little differently and shining the spotlight on something happening throughout our entire village: the inaugural Medina Triennial.

If you’ve seen the Triennial maps and signs around town and wondered exactly what it’s all about, here’s the quick version:

It’s a completely FREE, village-wide contemporary art exhibition featuring more than 100 works across 10 locations throughout Medina, with artists from our region and around the world.

And this isn’t just something Medina happens to be hosting this year. The Medina Triennial is designed to return every three years, bringing artists, visitors and another village-wide exhibition back to Medina.

That’s pretty darn cool for our little village.

One of our favorite things when someone visits Nola’s from outside the area is getting to tell them what else they should experience while they’re here. Check out the bookstore. Grab some great local chocolate. Try one of our restaurants. Walk Main Street. And this summer we’ve been able to add another one to the list:

“Have you checked out the Triennial?”

That’s what we love about something like this. It gives people another reason to come to Medina, but once they’re here, they discover everything else our community has to offer too. And for all of the shops, restaurants and small businesses throughout the village, that matters.

It also gives those of us who live here an opportunity to experience something completely different in our own backyard. You don’t need to know anything about contemporary art and you don’t need a ticket. Grab a map, pick a location and go see it.

The inaugural Medina Triennial runs through September 7, so if you’ve been meaning to check it out, now’s the time. Make an afternoon of it. See some art, walk around town, grab something to eat or drink and enjoy Medina while you’re here.

🧶 Only 2 spots left in our Chaos Crochet Club!

This is one Mrs. Nola has been really excited about, and it’s been so much fun seeing the excitement and anticipation for it from everyone else too. People have been stopping in, asking about it and even calling to find out more, which has made us even more excited to get started!

Over 13 weeks, we’ll work our way through different stitches, colors and rows as everyone builds their own wonderfully chaotic blanket. There’s no pressure for everything to match or be perfect. That’s kind of the whole point. 😂

We already have a great little group coming together, and we want to keep this one cozy so everyone has plenty of help when they need it, but also plenty of time to crochet, visit, laugh and enjoy a couple of hours together each week.

We have just 2 spots available.

🧶 CHAOS CROCHET CLUB STARTS NEXT WEEK!

Somehow, all of our crochet classes have been leading up to this… and we didn’t even know it. 😂

Mrs. Nola saw a similar project on TikTok and immediately thought, we HAVE to do this. So here we are. 💁🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️😂

Starting Thursday, September 3, we’re spending 13 weeks creating our own Chaos Blankets. Random colors. Random stitches. Random numbers of rows. No two blankets will be the same, and none of us really knows what ours will look like when we’re finished. That’s half the fun.

We’re keeping this group really small on purpose, so we’ll have plenty of time to learn new stitches, help each other when something goes sideways, and figure out the chaos together.

Basic crochet experience is necessary, but you definitely don’t need to be an expert.

🍂 Our September AND October calendars are officially FINALIZED!

We’ve been working behind the scenes on our fall lineup, and it’s finally time to put it all out there!

We have two full months of workshops planned with a little bit of everything: crochet, macramé, doormats, coasters, ghost garlands, wreaths, haunted paintings, Pick Your Project nights and plenty more.

And tucked into that September calendar is something a little different… Chaos Club starts NEXT WEEK! 🧶 We’ll give that one its own spotlight very soon.

Take a look through both calendars, find the projects you want to make, and get them on your calendar. Some of our workshops have limited spots, so don’t wait too long on the ones you really want to do!
