Hey everyone! Hope all is well! I wanted to put a post out because as some of you know my connection to the Edmund Fitzgerald is personal. The cook that is mentioned in the famous Gordon Lightfoot song, was my uncle (one of my dad‘s older brothers.) Well, I had a very unique experience last Thursday. Skot and I went to a local hangout called The Court’n House in downtown Eau Claire. I was instantly drawn to the back of the cocktail menu where there was a story about the wreck and a shot to honor the 29. Of course, we partook in this amazing event. The song is played in its entirety every time someone orders the shot, the only acceptable toast is “to the 29” shouted as loud as you can, and when the shot is gone, a bell is rung for each person that participated! How cool is that?! Was able to chat with one of the owners, Jackson, for quite a while, and found out his interest is deep with the Edmund. Thank you co-owners Jackson and Josh for creating a memorable and unexpected experience for me! I will hope that my friends and family visit you and experience it for themselves! And oh, by the way, they have amazing food and service!!
